the new nelly furtado single "maneater" is on its way
"maneater" is the first single of nelly’s new album "loose" that will be out due june and it sounds quite promising. the vocal style in the verses reminds a bit of maya arulpragasam, the bass line reminds of britney’s "do something" and it’s got a very cool beat. nice to see that "rnb/hip hop" producers are often going for a straight kickdrum at the moment. probably the ideas of hip hop, house and mainstream have never been that close to each other since the 1990s.
